Leveraging Technology To Innovate Education

Entertain. Educate. Inspire.

We continuously challenge ourselves to shatter boundaries and usher in the next generation of brilliant minds.

The design and production of virtual reality, augmented reality, 360° video and other immersive media formats require a unique skill set of creative thinking, understanding of design, aesthetic sensitivity, and storytelling, coupled with technical knowledge in areas such as 3D computer graphics, animation, visual effects, and digital camera and image processing techniques.

Leveraging the aesthetic and technical fundamentals of digital technology, Vivid Imagination provides educational resources that empower students to explore simulated environments, compete for collegiate eSports scholarships, and develop advanced technical skills. Our goal is have our students aspire for a brighter tomorrow; innovating technology that will nurture the next generation of student learning.

Areas Of Study

3D Modeling and Design

3D Modeling is the process of creating a 3D representation of any surface or object by manipulating polygons, edges, and vertices in simulated 3D space. You’ve seen the results of 3D modeling in movies, animations, and video games that are filled with fantastical and imaginative creatures and structures. 3D modeling can be achieved manually with specialized 3D production software that lets an artist create and deform polygonal surfaces or by scanning real-world objects into a set of data points that can be used to represent the object digitally.

3D modeling is used in a wide range of fields, including engineering, architecture, entertainment, film, special effects, game development, and commercial advertising. A popular example of 3D technology is its use in major motion pictures. Just think of the scenery “Avatar,” the 2009 movie from director James Cameron. The film helped to transform the 3D industry when it used many of the concepts of 3D modeling to create the movie’s planet Pandora.

Virtual Reality / Augmented Reality

Virtual reality is an artificial environment which is experienced through sensory simulation (such as sights and sounds) provided by a computer and in which one’s actions partially determine what happens in the environment.

Our program is offering virtual field trips to different colleges and locations around the world. These virtual field trips will allow students visit other colleges across the nation. This will make it easier for students to decide on what college they want to attend in the future. The other goal of virtual field trips is to allow students to experience what a campus atmosphere encompasses.

Virtual immersion is the next best thing. Virtual reality simulations can trick the brain into thinking the experiences are real. A number of new language learning apps that use VR/AR are now being developed. The program offers a full immersion for students to learn a new language quicker and easier.

VR Skills Training

Skill Training is a program design to help students curate their abilities. Using a full immersion simulation, students are given realistic scenarios that will help train them for possible careers in the environment they are focusing on.

Skill Training includes a virtual instructor. The facilitator serves as a tutor that will help provide students with the resources and support on subjects they don’t understand.

The VR/AR program is designed to motivate students to learn about digital technologies and broaden their horizons. All students in the class will be offered a Vivid Imagination cardboard VR headset and use the application to showcase their projects.

Coding and Development

Coding is the computer language used to develop apps, websites and software. In a more general sense, the word coding is used to refer to assigning a code or classification to software.

The program was designed to teach students how to code using different programming languages. Coding is an essential skill to have for the future as technology is constantly developing.

Students will be able to learn how to create their own website, video game, mobile applications, and programming software. Teaching students how to code will provide them with a competitive edge when they enter the job market.

Digital Media

Digital media is digitized content that can be transmitted over the internet or computer networks. This can include text, audio, video, and graphics. For example, a TV network, newspaper, or magazine, that are presented on a Web site or blog can fall into this category. Most digital media are based on translating analog data into digital data.

Our students will also have the chance to learn both the aesthetic and technical fundamentals of digital technology. Through the use of practical exercises, we direct experiences through digital video projects and on-set workshops.

Starting from the beginning of the class, students will learn how to operate using a camera and the proper way of managing video production. Each of our students will also have the chance to learn the proper and required way to write, edit, direct and produce their projects. In addition, students will gain extensive practical experience by working with their peers on various roles surrounding production.

College Access For All/Research & Action (CA4A/CARA) Programs

Vivid Imagination has partnered with the NYC Department of Education to provide College Access Programs in Middle & High Schools.

Students will learn and understand the various college and post-secondary options available. By being provided resources and training, students will have the ability to research possible options while forming their education and training plans. Our program partners with schools and the role models of their communities. We encourage the administration, faculty, staff, and other relevant constituents, to routinely assess and encourage students’ progress toward these goals.

Students will learn or understand how to:

  • Create a 5-year Plan

  • Use technology & media to further their possible career and/or college opportunities

  • Evaluate and assess Post-Secondary Options

  • Develop online research skills

  • Refine their critical thinking and decision-making skills

  • Develop a thorough understanding of which major and which post-secondary educational institution or option will best serve them

  • Gain an understanding of additional careers related to the science, technology, engineering, and math fields in order to broaden their knowledge and perspectives on career possibilities.

  • Determine strategies for making college affordable to encourage all students to feel college or post-secondary training is possible for them.
